Looking for something to do this summer? There's a boulder field in the Star 99.1 listening area called Ringing Rocks Park in Upper Black Eddy, PA (Bucks County). Some of these rocks have a bell or metal-like CLANK when you smack them with a hammer. I've been coming to this wonderful place ever since my daughter Emily was old enough to scramble around these boulders, and age is a key here. Sure, you can bring small children here, but keep in mind these are very large boulders and tripping can happen.
My daughter Emily said she'd gladly come along this weekend, but only if we could get some ice cream after...ha! Deal.
Tips: Bring hammers, water, bug spray, sunblock, snacks, sneakers or hiking boots. Also, the park's not far from the Crayola Experience in Easton, and not really a bad drive to or from Sesame Place in Langhorne. And if that's not enough for you, there are always great shopping towns nearby: New Hope, Lambertville, Milford, Point Pleasant (PA), and Yardley.
