Star 99.1 is accepting applications for a radio salesperson. This full-time position includes work in the office and travel throughout the NY metropolitan area to meet with customers and prospects. Over-achievers strongly encouraged to apply! A proven track record in radio or media sales is a pre-requisite, and high standards of business integrity are expected. Star 99.1 is passionate about sharing the Hope of Jesus with our listening area, and we are accepting applications for someone with good administrative and financial skills who shares this passion. This is not an entry level position. This position would require a well-rounded self-starter with 5+ years varied office and financial experience in a busy office setting; a team player with a committed work ethic who could contribute to our positive work environment. Can you multi-task and work independently? Do you have excellent computer, communication, and office skills? Are you very comfortable with Word and Excel? Applicant must have good detail and follow-up skills, and possess the ability to apply learning and creatively develop new processes as needed in a varied and often fast-paced environment. Donor database experience a plus.
This position would be a unique opportunity to become a part of impacting listeners in and around the nation’s largest media market. Screening callers to be aired on the morning show would be the main function of this role. Other responsibilities would include the archiving of show material for the development of best-of shows. Prerequisite is at least 6 months experience in radio or a related field. Experience with digital/social and NexGen, VoxPro, and Audition is a plus.
