Stop. Right. Now. Look around. Can you find something that you are grateful for? It is so easy to be caught up in the daily routine of life; wishing things were easier, hoping for something better, and praying for things to change. But how often do we take the time to slow down and count our blessings?

This November, in the midst of Thanksgiving planning, let’s be intentional about giving thanks and strive for An Attitude of Gratitude! There are over 100 verses in the bible that say we should be thankful and appreciate what we have.  God has blessed each and every one of us in a unique way. Let’s use this month to count our blessings, and change our attitude from stressed to blessed!

Here’s what to do:

  1. Download our “Attitude of Gratitude” calendar below and hang it up somewhere you will see it every morning.
  2. Find a blank journal.
  3. Every day, read the daily gratitude prompt on the Attitude of Gratitude calendar and meditate on it.
  4.  At night, before evening prayers, take out your journal and write a response to the day’s prompt as well all other things to be grateful for that come to mind.

Research shows that it takes 21 days to break a habit. So by the end of the month Thanksgiving will be more than just a holiday on the calendar, but a new mindset that focuses on God’s blessings in your life. Keep your journal going after November ends and see, even in the midst of challenges, how richly blessed you are!
