NEW YORK CITY:

World Trade Center Site / Lower Manhattan: The National September 11th Memorial and Museum will observe the 17th anniversary of 9/11 starting at 8:46 am.

Program:

-8:39 a.m. - Program begins
-8:46 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time AA Flight 11 struck North Tower)
-Families of victims of 2001 and 1993 attacks will begin reading the names.
-9:03 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time UA Flight 175 struck South Tower)
-Reading of names continues
-9:37 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time AA Flight 77 struck the Pentagon)
-Reading of names continues
-9:59 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time of fall of the South Tower)
-Reading of names continues
-10:03 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time UA Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania)
-Reading of names continues
-10:28 a.m. - Moment of silence (observance of time of fall of the North Tower)
-Reading of names continues to conclusion
-12:30 p.m. - Program concludes

Tribute in Light:

West and Morris Streets in lower Manhattan.

The lights will be on at sunset on September 11 and will fade away at dawn on September 12.

Milltown: 7 pm at the Milltown American Legion (4 JFK Drive).

New Jersey City University: 9 am at Raines Plaza. 

North Bergen: 9 am at Veterans Plaza in North Hudson James J. Braddock Park. 

North Brunswick: 7 pm at September 11th Memorial Park. 

North Plainfield: 8:30 am. A silent procession will travel along Somerset Street from Greenbrook Road to Lincoln Place. 

Old Bridge: 6 pm at the September 11th Town Memorial at Old Bridge Plaza. 

Peapack-Gladstone: 8:45 am at Liberty Park. 

Perth Amboy: 12 pm at City Hall Circle. 

Piscataway: 6 pm at the Piscataway Elks Lodge (on River Road).

Plainfield: 8:30 am at City Hall. 

Plainsboro: 6:30 pm at the Memorial garden in the back of the municipal complex on Plainsboro Road. 

Port Authority: The Port Authority will hold a service at Saint Peter’s Church in Lower Manhattan at 2 pm. 

Roselle Park: 7 pm at Kelly-Kaulfers Memorial Park. 

Scotch Plains: 6 pm at Augustine Park.

Secaucus: 8:30 am – Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center (Paterson Plank Road).

Somerville: 7 pm at Saint John’s Episcopal Church.
