God’s Perfect Timing

"God's Perfect Timing"

A year ago today we had no idea what was right around the corner for us. I was planning a St. Patrick's Day dinner with my whole family, the first big dinner I would have hosted. I probably was stocking up on corned beef at Shoprite on this very day. And just a week or two later, everything changed. My family cancelled coming, obviously. Mike and I ate corned beef for at least a month, which was totally a blessing because we couldn't get any meat in the grocery stores. And things got really weird, real fast.

Things can change so quickly. We learned that last year, and it's such a good lesson to learn. While the changes that happened a year ago were bad, good changes can happen just as quickly.

You've probably heard me say this in my Positive Thought for the day, and it's one of my favorites: "God created the Heavens and the Earth in 6 days; who's to say He can't change yours in just one?"

And He can! But we have to wait on His perfect timing. He knows exactly what He's doing. So don't give up, don't stop praying for that job, don't stop praying for your loved ones, don't stop believing that God will take care of you. We now know firsthand how quickly things can change, and God doesn't work on our timelines. When He answers that prayer, you'll see how beautifully He crafted the storyline up to it.

I love this scripture in Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." If you love God, you walk in His purposes, He makes everything work out. That's His promise to you.
