Local Feels: Guide Dogs Help Man Be The 1st Blind Runner To Finish The NYC Half Marathon

Yesterday (3/17) was the New York City Half Marathon, and history was made! Thomas Panek became the first ever blind runner to complete the marathon...thanks to his guide dogs, like Gus (pictured below). Thomas lost his eyesight more than 25 years ago, but that has never stopped him from inspiring others with disabilities. He's the president and CEO of Guiding Eyes of the Blind, which aims to make life-changing connections between people and dogs.
