Desiree Williams was really hoping to provide a nice Christmas for her family. Her husband passed away recently, and this is her first holiday as a widow. She had $600 worth of toys on layaway at Walmart but was going to have to have some of them put back because she simply couldn’t afford the bill.
Denise was stunned, though, to find that her family was one of six that had their layaway bills paid off by an anonymous donor. This person visited the store and paid off a quarter of the layaways at this Walmart. They didn’t want their name or the actual amount of money publicized, so we don’t even know what a ballpark figure is, but it had to be a pretty penny.
This is just the latest in a string of “Secret Santas” that are paying off layaways. This one happened in the Manville Walmart, but last week, someone paid off 62 layaways at a Cherry Hills Toys “R” Us.
Desiree was so touched to know that her children’s Christmas is taken care of, and so now, she plans to pay it forward by adopting a family in need and providing for them for Christmas.
