Do you have an ongoing issue in your life that just doesn't seem to be getting any better, or maybe goes away and then comes back? It could be a problem in your marriage, relationship, with your kids, at your job, your health, or maybe even in your church. The list can go on and on.
I came across this beautiful devotion about this and I just had to share it with you! It is written by Sarah Young.
"An ongoing problem is like a tutor who is always by your side. The learning possibilities are limited only by your willingness to be teachable. In faith, thank Jesus for your problem. Ask Him to open your eyes and your heart to all that He is accomplishing through this difficulty. Once you have become grateful for this problem it loses its power to drag you down. And on the contrary, your thankful attitude will lift you up."
It is not easy to be thankful for a problem. It is not easy to do that, right? But what if you try it? Just say:
Jesus, thank you so much for this problem in my life. Thank you that you are going to make me stronger through this problem. Thank you that you are making me a better person through this problem. Show me how what it is I need to learn from this , Jesus. Open my heart and mind so I can see the powerful things you want to do in my life because of this problem. Show me what I need to change because it keeps coming back. Thank you that on the other side of this problem, I’m going to be a better person because of it, and I am going to be able to help someone else who is going through the same thing. Jesus, thank you!
