If it hadn't been for Uber driver Chris Farley, Monday night could have ended in tragedy for a Florida community.

Farley was called to pick up a young man in Gulfsport, Florida at about 8 pm. In the car, the man revealed to Farley that he had just been diagnosed with brain cancer. Farley then noticed something suspicious about the man's destination.

It was right in the middle of the Skyway Bridge, a 200-foot-high bridge notorious for jumpers attempting to commit suicide.

After talking with the man to get his story, he signalled to the toll attendents to call 9-1-1. He also prayed with the man and asked to take his picture for future prayers. He took the man to a rest area by the bridge and sent the picture to law enforcement.

By the time police arrived on the scene, the man had made his way to a pier at the bottom of the bridge and was attempting to swim into the water to drown himself. However, police were able rescue him, perform CPR, and bring him to a local hospital.

Farley said that God put him in that car for a reason. Way to step up, Chris.
