The Paradise fire affected so many people. There are families who lost everything. What’s been really encouraging to read and hear about, though, are the people that stepped up to help, during and after.
Bob Wilson is a restaurant owner and real estate developer based in San Diego, and he did something beyond incredible for one high school that was affected. He flew into town with two briefcases, and in those briefcases were $1000 checks - checks that he handed out to all 980 students and 105 employees, from the teachers to the bus drivers to the janitors. Everyone got one.
Bob said he simply wanted to do something to lift their spirits in the aftermath of something so traumatizing.
