VIDEO: Police “Ticket” Kids For Doing the Right Thing

This is the only kind of ticket you would ever want to get.

Summer is the best time of year for kids to ride their bikes. And the Cobleskill Police department is making sure that everyone is staying safe by giving "tickets" for wearing helmets.

However, these tickets don't require a fine or court sentence. Instead they are vouchers for the kids to go get some ice cream.

Chief Bialkowski said that they are just trying to reinforce good and safe behavior, while also building positive relationships with the community. And they seem to be doing a good job. I mean, who doesn't like some nice cold ice cream on a hot summer day?
