Herman is the custodian for a college, and the students at his school love him. They say he’s the happiest person they encounter all day on campus. In fact, there’s a private group on Facebook where, unbeknownst to Herman, he’s discussed pretty often. They think that much of him.
Recently, the students found out that Herman hadn’t been home to Jamaica to see his family in more than four years because of financial reasons, and they knew this was an opportunity to bless the man who blessed them each and every day, just by being himself. They raised more than $2000 through crowdfunding, which was enough to send Herman and his wife to Jamaica for an entire week. They put the money in an envelope with a note that read, “On behalf of the students at Bristol, we would like to thank you…you have brightened many of our days and we want you to know that we love and appreciate you.”
