Feels Good

Abby was trying to get in touch with her friend from church, Alex, so that she could arrange to bring some food by his house. His four-year-old son had recently had a massive seizure that put him in the ICU at the children’s hospital, so his family has really been going through it and Abby just wanted some way to ease some of the stress. She thought a meal would take one more thing off their plate.

Abby wrote, “We are bringing you dinner tomorrow. I was wondering what time would be a good time to bring it over?”

Bill, the man she mistakenly texted instead, jokingly answered, “What are you bringing me? I don’t like seafood.” That’s when Abby realized she’d typed in the wrong number, and she apologized and explained who she’d been trying to reach.

Bill felt really bad, then, when he found out what was going on, and so he went straight to his Facebook page and asked for gifts, donations, and anything else anyone could contribute to help the family out.

People were all in. They donated gift cards and toys and other thoughtful gifts to encourage the family, which Bill plans on delivering to the hospital himself.

Abby said Bill was definitely an angel sent to help this sweet family.
