Ife Dancy

Sundays (3p-7p)

Brooklyn born Ifé (pronounced Ee-Fay) is a lifetime music lover, radio veteran, and DJ who's joining the ranks as STAR 99.1's newest weekend on-air personality.

Getting her start as an intern at a New York talk radio station, Ifé later crossed over to music radio, working for prominent NYC hip-hop, R&B and gospel radio stations.

In 2004, Ifé created and executive produced a yearly 24 hour radio marathon called The Hip Hop TakeOver, or HHTO.  The HHTO brought together radio hosts, DJ’s, rappers, emcees, Hip Hop historians, authors and politicians who had a common goal of teaching the origins of Hip Hop.  In 2010, the HHTO was voted as one of the "Top Five Best Things in Hip Hop in New York" by Birth Place Magazine.

When Ifé is not on the radio, she's in the recording studio cutting voiceovers.
